Here's a selection of some of the best cruises from the USA and Canada. There are a couple of river cruises included, one being the very popular Mississippi cruise from Viking but also a much less well known one on the St. Lawrence River, going from Quebec City to near Toronto and back again.
Most of the these can be done on their own or incorporated into a bigger trip. For example the first one listed, the Alaska cruise from Holland America, is often added to the end of a Canadian Rockies trip.
