Saturday

Fly from London to Cairo with British Airways and transfer to Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx for 2 nights.

Sunday

Morning tour of Giza to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx. After lunch, visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun's tomb.

Nile Cruise (4 nights)

Monday (Luxor)

Fly into Luxor and transfer to the M/Y Mirage for a 4 night cruise. In the afternoon, visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Stay overnight in Luxor on board the ship.

Tuesday (to Edfu)

Morning visit to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Sail to Esna and pass through the lock. Continue to Edfu and stay overnight.

Wednesday (to Aswan)

Morning visit to the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Afternoon cruise to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris.
Late evening, sail to Aswan and stay overnight.

Thursday (Aswan)

This morning visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. This afternoon take a felucca trip on the Nile. Stay overnight in Aswan. This is your last night on the ship, and the next morning you will disembark and fly to Cairo.

Friday

Disembark the ship and fly to Cairo. There is an optional visit to Abu Simbel but you are advised to book and pay for this in advance. In Cairo, stay overnight at the Sonesta Hotel Tower & Casino Cairo.

Morning transfer to the airport. Fly from Cairo to London with British Airways or extend your stay.

Abu Simbel from £250 per person

The Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel is one of the most impressive monuments in Egypt. Built into the hillside, the site's four statues are around 20 metres high and remain as awesome today as they would have been at the time of their construction, some 3000 years ago. You can fly down to Abu Simbel from Aswan, although please note that the visit will last no more than 1 hour.
