  Mombasa Holidays
Go to hotels in Kenya Mombasa is very much a beach destination but one that is unique in two ways. First, the sheer variety of hotels on offer. You can have cheap 3* options right up to 5* luxury, plus many small, unique and boutique hotels such as Cove Treehouses. And second, one of the great advantages of Mombasa for a holiday destination is its closeness to Tsavo National Park enabling you to go on 1, 2 or 3 night mini safaris that may also include the wonderful Amboseli, which I particularly love because of the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.

Pinewood Village   (4*)
Mombasa, Kenya
The beautiful white sandy beach at Pinewood Village
Pinewood Village is a small boutique hotel with a relaxed ambience, friendly staff, and a much more personal feel to it than some other hotels. The highlight is the superb white sandy beach but many of our customers love the gardens which are filled with birds and monkeys. By the main restaurant is a most beautiful fish pond. Bright yellow Golden Palm Weavers are here and you could spend the whole time just watching them.
Every evening there is a different theme, so it could be from an English Roast to a Mongolian dinner. It is also possible to have candlelit dinners on the beach. The food is good and fresh, and because they have a vegetable garden some guests even pick their own vegetables for the chef to cook for them.
There is also an informal, cosy new restaurant down at the beach in a magical setting. Here you may be served a BBQ dinner with entertainment. And if you like pizza then try the pizza oven near the beach. This is actually built into some old coral, and the chef here makes delicious thin-crust pizzas. All the ingredients he uses are fresh. Superb!
