Nile Cruises - Special Offer
One week cruise on the Nile
Special Offer - £888pp - Full Board
(see below for full details of this offer)
There are so many different boats that do essentailly very similar itineraries, so it is difficult to know how to go about choosing a ship. You could spend over £1500 on a really deluxe ship, but although this one is significantly cheaper than that, it is still of a VERY high standard, and if you're going to be on board for a week, then it makes sense to pick one that is fairly comfortable.
The Itinerary
- Monday: Fly to Luxor and check in to your boat.
- Tuesday: Early morning visit to Luxor temple (which is enormous and yet was only classed as a minor temple in ancient times!) and Karnak temple, which is one of the greatest and largest temples in the world. The sail on to Edfu and & relax onboard.
- Wednesday: Morning visit to Edfu temple which has been remarkably well preserved and tells a story of triumph over evil. Sail on to Kom-Ombo & relax onboard.
- Thursday: Morning visit to Kom-Ombo temple where you can still see ancient mummified crocodiles. Sail on to Aswan & visit Philae temple, the High Dam & the unfinished Obelisk. Relax onboard.
- Friday: Free morning at leisure in Aswan with an afternoon visit to Aswan Botanic Island. Overnight in Aswan. Aswan is known for its wonderful scenery, spectacular sunsets and world famous monuments including the high dam which controls the water level of the Nile.
- Saturday: Free day cruising as ship sails back from Aswan to Luxor.
- Sunday: Early morning visit on the West Bank of Luxor home to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens & the temple of Hatchesput. Overnight in Luxor. Look out for the colours on the tomb walls which are so spectacular and vibrant that they appear to have only been painted yesterday.
- Monday: Free day in Luxor before your return flight to the UK, or add a week on the Red Sea in either El Gouna or Hurghada.

- ALL cabins on this ship have full size windows (this is not always the case on other boats)
- Occasionally the itinerary can change due to unforseeable circumstances, however in June and the first half of December every year the Esna Lock is closed for maintenance and so you will have to travel around it by coach.
