A tropical paradise on one of the best strtches of beach in Krabi. The Amari Vogue is in a secluded spot about 20 minutes away from the nearest town of Ao Nang. Rooms are large and designed in beautiful Lanna style, with some rooms having an outside jacuzzi.

The hotel is relatively small and intimite with just 57 rooms, but there are still a couple of excellent restaurants plus two bars, as well as the restaurants in Ao Nang. The Bellini restaurant in particular has a truly stunning setting, and as it faces west, come at the right time for some amazing sunsets.

For something extra special, rent a traditional long tail boat and driver from the beach in front of the resort, to explore the beauty of the nearby Islands. Picnic hampers and drinks can be arranged from the hotel. Or take a boat to Phi Phi Island from Ao Nang, just 20 minutes away.

The Resort

• To many, Krabi is the best of Thailand's resorts due to the dramatic picture postcard scenery, soft white sandy beaches, and laid back lifestyle. This is an unspoiled region of outstanding natural beauty, with huge limestone cliffs soaring out of the turquoise sea. The main tourist area Ao Nang has a few local bars and restaurants, although most of the hotels are a short distance away.
• A visit to one of the offshore islands in a long-tailed boat is a must - you will see the most beautiful beaches and have a chance to snorkel amongst tropical fish in the crystal clear waters. One of these islands is uninhabited, and it is here that the movie 'The Beach' was filmed in the Phi Phi islands.
• Krabi Town is worth a visit for the night market, as well as just wandering round this charming little town. More energetic is a climb of Tiger Monastery, where is it possible to get to the top for spectacular views.

• Khao Khanap Nam - Khao Khanap Nam has beautiful caves with amazing stalactites and stalagmites worth exploring.
• Ao Nang - situated about 20 kilometres from Krabi town, is a large bay with scenic beaches and 83 small islands diving shops, boats for rent, and sightseeing by canoe
• Hat Tham Phra Nang - pristine beach has fine-grained white sand and crystalline waters as well as magnificent jagged karsts they still draw numerous visitors for recreational and adventurous activities such as diving, snorkeling, hiking, and rock climbing
