Flights
Your flights are with British Airways from Heathrow Airport direct into Shanghai and returning direct from Beijing. If you are travelling from other parts of the UK, then you can alternatively fly with Emirates via Dubai which has excellent regional connections.
Shanghai (days 1-5)
Day 1 Evening flight from Heathrow to Shanghai, arriving the next day
Day 2 Transfer to hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure
Day 3 Shanghai museum, Bund, welcome dinner of traditional Shanghai cuisine
Day 4 Yu Gardens, Old Town, Pudong, evening River Cruise
Day 5 Fly to Guilin Highlights - Old Town - wander the narrow streets and take in the incredible atmosphere
- Yu Gardens - an calm oasis away from the hectic city with typical Chinese pagodas
- The Bund - this is Shanghai's historic waterfront promenade, and is great for people watching
- Pudong - explore the unique 1920's style Xintiandi area
- Shanghai Museum - view the superb antiquities and fine arts and wander round People's Square before a traditional Shanghai meal
