Flights
Your flights are with British Airways from Heathrow Airport direct into Beijing, and returning direct from Shanghai. If you are travelling from other parts of the UK, then you can alternatively fly with Emirates via Dubai which has excellent regional connections.
Beijing (days 1-6)
Walk on the Great Wall of China - this will be one of your highlights of China with many fantastic photographic opportunities of the wall and the surrounding scenery
Summer Palace - this is a calm and peaceful place with beautiful bridges, walks and waterfalls
Forbidden City - a deserted city within a city with has the largest and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China
Stroll through Tiananmen Square - a vast public space which is the world's largest public square
The Temple of Heaven - a UNESCO world heritage site
Silk Markets - a chance to do some shopping
Peking Duck evening meal - if you go to Beijing, then you must try the Peking Duck!

Shaanxi Provincial Museum - see the priceless relics
Little Wild Goose Pagoda - built in the 7th century

Evening Show - of Tang Dynasty music & dancing with dinner for your last night in Xian Itinerary Day 6 - Fly to Xian, Shaanxi Provincial Museum, enjoy a traditional Shui Jiao dumpling meal in the evening
Day 7 - Terracotta Warriors, ancient City Wall, Muslim Quarter, Great Mosque, Islamic food markets, enjoy Tang Dynasty dancing in the evening
Day 8 - Little Wild Goose Pagoda, fly to Wuhan

Yangtze River Cruise (days 8-11)
The scenery - you will cruise through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world
Three Gorges Dam - it is controversial, but still an incredible feat of engineering
The Ghost City of Fengdu - this is one of the shore excursions available - you will visit captivating temples and the statues of the ghost city
A ped-pod boat ride - a unique opportunity to cruise up the Shennong Stream in a pea pod boat Itinerary Day 8 - Fly to Wuhan, board the Yangyze River Cruise
Days 9 to 11 - Three Gorges Dam, beautiful scenery, various shore excursions, temples and statues of the Ghost City of Fengdu, travel up the Shennong Stream in a pea-pod boat, Lesser Three Gorges
Day 12 - Disembark and transfer to Chengdu 3 nights on one of the 4* Victoria & Yangtze Star cruise lines which has private western facilities ALL meals
Chengdu (days 12-14)
Giant Pandas - see these adorable animals being reared in wooded surroundings. You will be able to get within a few feet of them, and watch them eat and play. Walk through the bamboo forest and have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cuddle a giant panda. The money raised from this is vital to keeping the centre open.
Leshan - this is the world's largest carved stone Buddha which took 90 years to complete!
City tour - included is a half day city tour of Chengdu and a meal of Sichuan cuisine Itinerary Day 12 - Transfer to Chengdu, City tour, enjoy a Sichuan Meal in the evening
Day 13 - Pandas, Leshan (world's largest stone carved Buddha)
Day 14 - Fly to Guilin 2 nights in Chengdu ALL meals
Guilin & Yangshou (days 14-17)
Li River cruise - sail past breathtaking landscapes on the way to Yangshuo
Mt. Diecai - from here you will get spectacular views of the limestone landscape

Yangshuo - visit the colourful local markets

Shanghai & Suzhou (days 17-21)
Garden City of Suzhou - this is one of the famous water towns where you will enjoy a cruise on the ancient Grand Canal and visit a silk mill which is still in operation
Old Town - wander the narrow streets and take in the incredible atmosphere
Yu Gardens - an calm oasis away from the hectic city with typical Chinese pagodas
The Bund - this is Shanghai's historic waterfront promenade, and is great for people watching
Pudong - explore the unique 1920's style Xintiandi area
Shanghai Museum - view the superb antiquities and fine arts and wander round People's Square before a traditional Shanghai meal
River Cruise - end your stay in Shanghai with a stunning river cruise celebration Itinerary Day 17 - Fly to Shanghai, visit the garden city of Suzhou,
Day 18 - Silk Mill, enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal, Oriental Gardens, then go back to Shanghai
Day 19 - Shanghai Museum, wander around Peopl'e Square, Yu Gardens, Old Town Shanghai, The Bund, traditional Shanghai cruisine in the evening
Day 20 - Pudong, 1920's style buildings, end your stay with a stunning Huangpu River cruise
Day 21 - Sadly fly back to the UK, returning the same day
