ATOL protection
All holidays advertised on this website are fully proected by ATOL.
What is ATOL?
- ATOL protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out checks on the tour operators and travel organisers it licenses, and requiring a financial guarantee called a bond, which is lodged with the CAA.
- If a tour operator goes out of business, the CAA will make a refund to you, or if you're abroad, the CAA will arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home.
- If you're thinking of building your own holiday using different suppliers beware. You may be unprotected if things go wrong. You could lose your money or be stuck somewhere without a flight home if your operator goes bust.
Do you ever sell holidays that are not protected by ATOL?
- If you want a particular holiday that is not possible to sell as a package, then this may not be covered by ATOL.
- An example would be where you require specific flights and specific hotels, which cannot be provided by one tour operator alone.
- In these cases, you will be advised before making the booking that ATOL protection does not apply.
